Personal Injury & Wrongful Death

Personal injury and wrongful death cases typically involve helping individuals who have been badly injured in accidents caused by the negligence or reckless conduct of another. Examples include people who have suffered injuries or death in the workplace, during recreational activities, or in automobile, trucking, motorcycle, railroad, or aviation accidents. Our attorneys are here to help sort through the legal complexities that often accompany such traumatic events. After accidents are investigated to determine any wrongful conduct and evaluate damages such as medical bills, lost wages, and disability, each personal injury or wrongful death claim is presented to the party at fault or the party’s insurance company. If a negligent party refuses to fairly accept responsibility, we can file a lawsuit to litigate the claim as needed to obtain justice in the form of a fair verdict or settlement.

Our attorneys are experienced in litigation, settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration, with our focus on full and complete compensation of our clients’ claims. As is common in such claims, our attorneys would receive a predetermined percentage of any award obtained for the client, rather than hourly fees. This contingency arrangement makes it more feasible for personal injury and wrongful death clients to proceed.

Testimonials

I can’t express enough how glad I am that I chose Joan to handle my accident case last year. She worked very hard to get what she thought I deserved after my car accident. Joan and her team took care of everything. As a motor vehicle accident victim the last thing you want to do is focus on the legal issues. She made it easy for me to worry about my recovery. They kept me informed and talked me through things I didn’t understand. I highly recommend you call Joan Davis for your legal issues. – T. Thompson

As a motorcycle enthusiast and an experienced rider, I take every safety precaution. Even so, there was nothing I could do to avoid being hit by a distracted driver. When my wife and I met Joan, I was in a wheelchair. I was concerned about my health, the mounting medical bills and my ability to get back to running my company. The other driver had very little insurance coverage, and my medical bills were already over $200,000. Joan addressed all of our concerns. She reviewed our insurance policies and identified medical coverage and two under insured motorists’ provisions that together would pay the full value of my claim. Meeting with her was incredibly reassuring, but it was just the begetting. While the other driver’s insurance company was willing to pay and get out as quickly as possible, my own insurance company seemed to throw up roadblocks. Throughout the ordeal, Joan took care of so many details, and she became a part of our support network. Joan was proactive and tenacious, and we ultimately recovered the full limits from all three policies. I remember the day I walked into her office (no walker and no cane) to sign the final paperwork. It was quite a journey, and we could not have done it without her. – S. Rosenberg
